A family-run agricultural machinery business

About C T Scott

C T Scott is an agricultural machinery, service, parts and precision farming business supporting farmers, contractors and agricultural operators across Scotland.

From our depots in Insch and Dundee, we supply machinery, service and parts backup, with the objective to help customers keep equipment working when timing matters.

Who are we

C T Scott values customer service and support

Craig Scott has been an agricultural engineer since leaving school. He started the business in 2016 from the family farm near Insch, focused on NSTS sprayer testing and farm machinery repairs. Starting from the ground up with just technical knowledge.

Emma grew up in a farming family before training as a nurse. That combination: agricultural instinct and care-led thinking, shapes how C T Scott handles customers. Fast responses, clear answers, and an understanding of what it costs when machinery stops working at the wrong moment.

The Insch depot is built on that family farm. Craig is involved in running the farm. That connection to working land is not a marketing detail. It is the reason the business understands what customers are actually dealing with.

Our Evolution

Celebrating a decade of service to Scottish farmers

C T Scott secured its first brand partnerships: Agrifac, Bateman, Landquip and SpreadPoint, between 2017 and 2020. In 2019, a purpose-built headquarters opened at Insch and the first employee joined the team.

In 2023, C T Scott became the sole Scottish importer and distributor for Ag Leader GPS and precision farming systems, and won Machinery Dealer of the Year at the Scottish Agriculture Awards.

The Insch depot expanded in 2024 with a retail store and parts department stocking over 2,500 product lines. In 2025, the Dundee operation relocated from Forfar to a significantly larger facility near Muirhead, quadrupling in size, adding staff and a dedicated parts department.

In 2026, after just 1 year as a dealer, Polaris awarded C T Scott Three Star Dealer status (their highest dealer recognition). Bednar FMT and Krone product have now joined the portfolio.

Our principles & Values

The way we do business

C T Scott is a young business, but we have always known what we wanted it to be. Customer care, teamwork, innovation and reliability are not values we just wrote down so that they looked good on the website and brochures. They are how Craig and Emma run the operation day to day: which brands they take on, how the team responds when something goes wrong, and what customers should expect after the sale.

Every brand in our portfolio was chosen because it shares the same standards around product quality and aftersales support, and this matters to us.

Customer Care

Keeping customers moving matters to us. We aim to provide the kind of support we'd want ourselves: straightforward advice, quick responses and people who genuinely care about getting the job done.

Teamwork

No one builds a business like this alone. We value good people, strong relationships and working together to solve problems, both within our team and alongside our customers.

Innovation

Agriculture doesn't stand still, and neither do we. We're always looking at better ways to support our customers, whether that's new machinery, precision farming technology or improving how we work.

Reliability

When we say we'll do something, we do it. From machinery supply and servicing to parts support and aftersales care, our customers know they can rely on us when it matters most.

The way we do business

We're a relatively young business, but we've always known what we wanted C T Scott to be. A company built on good people, practical support and doing the right thing for our customers. Every decision we make, from the brands we work with to the way we support customers after the sale, comes back to a few simple principles.
